Kinda like work, except it sucks in a different way.

Expository expositories. There really are better ways of showing the reader that the main baddie in your comic is a major badass than using the "Rumor is..." plot device.

Oh well. You live and learn!

...just to clarify, that's a Donphan getting shocked in the last panel, right?

@Bolt 206: Yup. In hindsight, the panel as a whole coulda been drawn much better. :p

First thing: Aren't Donphans immune to electric attacks?

And secondly: I think -kun would be more appropriate that -chan, as they are both male (Right?)

@Chikouu: I think that since the Bite was in the hide, instead of just something like thunderbolt, it would hurt him inside then out.

@Chikouu: Type immunities work as a game mechanic, but suck as dramatic devices, so I've taken liberties with how Types actually affect each other in this world. I figured Ground-types would still be the LEAST affected by Electric attacks, but it doesn't change the fact that Pokemon are still living creatures, and thus any amount of real electricity will still mess with one's body. The fact that Raioh was able to down a Donphan with his Thunder Fang should suggest how much juice he packs every day.

Also, as I learned coming to Japan, usages of -kun and -chan are more reflective of one's familiarity/social status with others more than gender roles. So for example, my teachers and some editors all called me "***-kun;" some Japanese friends call me "Zen-chan." The same teachers refer to one of my female classmates as "***-kun" as well.

@zenmigawa: Plus, it would at least kind of microwave Donphan's insides
